The Shroud of Turin believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ will be exhibited to the the public for the first time in ten years in Turin, Italy from the 10th of April 2010, through the 23rd, of May 2010. Our special guest on this edition of Building A Civilization of Love, John C. Iannone has studied the Shroud of Turin since 1978 and is the Author of The Mystery of the Shroud of Turin: New Scientific Evidence in New York. John has also served two terms as President of the Holy Shroud Task Force, an organization of scientists, scholars, writers and interested individuals working to preserve the Shroud from modern environmental damage and to promote continued studies and testing of this amazing and precious relic. At the invitation of Cardinal Giovanni Saldarini, then Papal Custodian of the Holy Shroud, John attended a 3 day Shroud Scientific and Historical Congress in Turin, Italy where he observed the Shroud first hand.
