This past Friday's Building A Civilization of Love was dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel whose Feast Day was Thursday July 16, 2009, and to St. Anne whose Feast Day will be celebrated on Sunday July 26, 2009.
Producer: Laura Cirami
Host: Frank Ruffolo
With the Feast Day of St. Anne fast approaching for Sunday July 26, 2009, preparations for this annual feast day to the Mother of the Virgin Mary and Grandmother of Jesus are well underway by organizers expecting close to one and a half a million pilgrims annually making their way to the magnificent Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupre located just 15 minutes outside of Quebec City, Quebec, right next to the shores of the St. Lawrence River. With us via pre-recorded telephone interview is Father Pilote, who's the Director of the Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupre who gave us all the details.
Following our interview with Father Pilote, we featured an interview via telephone from just outside Quebec City, Quebec, with Father Guy Desrochers who is the Director of a wonderful magazine titled, The Annals of St. Anne de Beaupre. Father Guy a former newspaper journalist before entering the priesthood has just finished his first year as the Director of The Annals of St. Anne de Beaupre.
Right after that we featured a special segment called Stephanie and Catie's Excellent Adventure in studying Italian in Italy as a credit course for their final year into Grade 12. Join both Laura Cirami and I as we discover what 17-year-old Stephanie Carnevale and her next door neighbour Catie Sutherland, from St. Elisabeth Catholic High School in York Region with Centro Scola give us a weekly update on their Excellent Adventure studying Italian in Italy. I don't think it could get much better than that learning Italian while spending part of your summer vacation in Italy. Now that's Amore!
Following Stephanie and Catie's Excellent adventure in Italy update, Building A Civilization of Love took you right across Canada to the province of British Columbia where our next guest Natalie Hudson, is the Director of Education and Outreach for Signal Hill.
